Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno Statement on May 2026 Bond Commission

COMMISSIONER SEILA MOSQUERA-BRUNO STATEMENT ON MAY 2026 BOND COMMISSION

(HARTFORD, CT) “Last week the State Bond Commission approved $107 million in new housing investments for Connecticut, including $10 million to support first time homebuyers through our Time to Own program. These investments will help us accelerate housing development statewide — from new construction and preservation to infrastructure improvements and predevelopment support for communities.

Today, Connecticut has 8,953 first time homeowners, over 6,400 units under construction and has completed more than 15,471 since 2019. This progress reflects our continued commitment to ensuring residents have access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.

Thank you to Governor Lamont, the Bond Commission, and our legislators for their continued leadership and partnership in expanding housing opportunities across Connecticut.”
